Illustration and Design Assets created for Health Union, LLC Alzheimer’s Community “The Alzheimer’s Caregivers Resource Center”.

I created this illustration for a set of assets to be utilized for a community Hub that features articles from the community that contain resources for Alzheimer’s Caregivers. The tone of the community is somber as they face the challenges of dementia as both a caregiver and a patient, realistic about the struggles and complicated emotions that accompany anticipatory grief, and passionate about pushing back against the stigma of the disease. Caregiver’s find safety and understanding in this community of fellow caregivers.

The team prompted me to create imagery that felt warm and welcoming to engage with new Alzheimer’s Caregivers who may be searching for resources and community that could be found on our site.

For this concept, I depicted an image of the Hub design from the website on a tablet with current caregivers from the community popping out in speech bubbles as the writers of theses articles. They appear empathetic as they beckon in new, perhaps nervous, caregivers to the resources available on the website, creating a welcoming and understanding vibe.
