DoorDash Stories
The Creative Production team at DoorDash reached out to me to create a series of illustrated and animated stories under 1 minute in length for their social media pages that were similar to the animated illustration work I had in my portfolio.
For the first concept “To Be Loved is To Be Considered” , the team wrote the story which I then translated into 12 illustrated scenes with subtle animations to create an engaging story experience for their social media. The team wanted to exaggerate story elements with the concept and animation and pushed for fun and silliness in the visuals to create a dynamic, wacky energy for their social media.
The team created the voiceover and sound effects for social media, and the completed video can be viewed on their Instagram and TikTok social media accounts.
The team wanted to start off the initial line “Anddd I did it. I forgot our wedding anniversary!” with a dramatic, attention grabbing scene of a woman in an interesting and unique job setting.
We opted for a construction setting as that could provide many interesting props she could drop in her surprise, while grabbing the viewers attention.
For the color scheme, I utilized DoorDash’s brand colors to keep the animation subtly on brand and to keep a cohesive look across the settings.
