Ballot Initiative Ad for Graham Platner, Senate Candidate in Maine

Workers Productions reached out to me to create an illustrated, animated ad for Graham Platner’s Absentee Ballot Initiative wherein he encouraged voters in Maine to “Vote No on Ballot Question One” in the November 2025 election which would allow voters to maintain the ability be absentee voters.

The team wanted the video to be reminiscent of the “Schoolhouse Rock” political education videos of the 1970’s with color palette and feel. The video was to depict Graham Platner speaking and working on his oyster boat while connecting to the voters and explaining the importance of voting “no” on ballot question one to prevent absentee voting rights being taken away from folks like himself who may not be able to make it to polling locations on voting day because of their locations.

I created all of the illustrations and animations in two different formats. One 9:16 for social media advertising, and a horizontal 16:9 format which appeared as a television ad in Maine. The rest of the team at Workers Productions produced the sound and graphics that appeared in the final versions which can be viewed on Graham Platner’s social media and Workers Productions social media.
