The tone of the SMA community is commonly hopeful as it usually centers around medical advancements and treatments, life as a disabled individual or as a caregiver of one, normalizing living with disability, and dealing with the challenges that come with a progressive disease.

In this article, the caregiver shares how fearless her young child with SMA is as she challenges the world like every young child. However, when her child falls it can also be an emotional fall for her because of the worry that comes with being a parent, especially of a child with a disability and wheelchair.
